I’m not much of a new year’s resolution girl. I used to make new resolutions every year, but I got sick of failing two weeks into the year. Who really enjoys setting themselves up for failure anyway?
This year, I’m setting goals rather than making new year’s resolutions. I have a few goals in my head, but have written any of them on paper. I plan to jot them down this week…and depending on how many I end up with, I may make a cute little reminder for myself and frame it. Cause with this pregnesia, I’m likely to forget I even had goals by tomorrow.
My first goal is a goal I had last year, but again, failed miserably. I really, truly desire to blog more. Yet, I can’t seem to get to the computer first thing in the morning to put one together. With little man running around getting into everything he shouldn’t get into, it makes sneaking away to my office rather challenging. Remind me again why I didn’t go ahead and get the Macbook Pro?
The difference with this goal in 2012 is to make it a realistic goal. I remember learning in college to be S.M.A.R.T when making goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. Taking these principles into account, my goal is to blog every Monday through Thursday during the month of January. Yes, only January. I figure a realistic goal is to strive for 4 days a week (instead of my usual 5) for ONE MONTH! I want to do this. I think I can do this. So… here goes nothin.
Day 1 – complete!
And because I really hate to start off the year without a picture, here is one from our 4 year anniversary celebration. Don’t worry, I totally reminded Wade that I had already visited the Cardinals’ dugout once – ya know, with OZZIE SMITH!
